Farnaz Najm Abadi
ChiropractorSpeaks: English, FarsiDr. Farnaz Najm (DC, BSc Honours Kinesiology) is an evidence-based practitioner who has completed the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). She is focused on the promotion of health and wellness, and the prevention of illness.
Dr. Najm is experienced in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions such as work-related sprain/strain, low back pain, neck pain, migraines/headaches, plantar fasciitis, and carpal tunnel.
Trained in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) approach, Dr. Najm is able to optimize function, improve performance and achieve their best wellbeing, and to prevent future recurrence. This approach encompasses a variety of treatment options including: Chiropractic Manipulation/Mobilization, Soft Tissue Therapy, Medical Acupuncture, Postural advice, Custom Orthotics, and Rehabilitation programs.
Jessica Ly
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: Cantonese, EnglishJessica completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy degree and an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences at McMaster University. Her post-graduate education includes completion of courses in Advanced Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy, Soft Tissue Release Training, Acupuncture, and Pelvic Health. She has experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, sports injury and neurological conditions in both a clinical and the hospital setting.
Jessica is also a rostered pelvic physiotherapist with knowledge treating conditions related to incontinence, prolapses, pelvic girdle pain, pregnancy & post-natal related dysfunction and diastasis recti. She believes in using a combination of manual therapy, exercise training and education to help her patients maximize their strength, movement and function. Jessica focuses on using a holistic, client-centred and evidence-based approach to fulfill the goals and help improve the well being of all her clients. Jessica has most recently completed both the Arthritis Society's Getting a Grip on Arthritis® osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis education program.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys discovering new hiking trails, spending time with her friends and family and sampling foods from around the world.
Vikas Vaja
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: English, Gujarati, HindiVikas Vaja is a Registered Physiotherapist with extensive experience in the field of physical therapy. He graduated from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science in India in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy. In 2015, he obtained a Diploma Degree in Fitness & Health Promotion from Mohawk College, Hamilton.
Before moving to Canada in 2013, Vikas worked in various healthcare settings in India, including acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and physiotherapy college. He focused on MSK Cardiorespiratory Neuro, Neuro Pediatrics, Pre-op & Post-op rehabilitation in clinical practice. After graduation, he worked as a PTA in long-term and retirement homes.
As a resident Physiotherapist in Canada, Vikas has worked in multidisciplinary clinics, long-term and retirement homes. He has a special interest in providing manual therapy and muscle retraining to restore joint biomechanics and correct movement dysfunction. He has extensive experience with post-operative protocols and rehabilitation programs. In his free time, Vikas enjoys cooking different dishes and listening to music.
