PT Health Care Solutions recently announced the launch of hand therapy services in a number of its PT health clinics throughout British Columbia. Clinics in Richmond, Ladner, Vancouver, New Westminster, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, North Delta and Langley have launched new hand therapy programs to help individuals suffering from amputations, crush injuries, arthritis, burns, fractures, ligament injuries and lacerations as well as additional injuries or conditions that require intense and focused physical rehabilitation.
Hand therapy offers rehabilitation methodologies that affect the hand, wrist and elbow. Hand therapy services include custom-made splints, pain management and wound care focusing on joint and soft tissue mobilization, strengthening, client education, return to work planning and additional services by certified hand therapists, all of whom are Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists who have successfully completed hand therapy certification examinations.
Assessing and managing tendon injuries and repairs, crush injuries, loss of movement due to burns or arthritis is the goal of dedicated and compassionate physiotherapists who work with patients on a one-on-one basis to provide specific programs that cater to patient care and education. ” We believe our hand therapy program is extremely effective in restoring hand function and movement” says Rick Lau, Director of Operations.
PT Health Solutions is pleased to launch the hand therapy program, dedicated and focused on providing the best in physiotherapy and rehabilitation for residents of British Columbia.
