PhysiotherapistSpeaks: EnglishDeborah is a practicing physiotherapist and clinic director at our ptHealth Forest Hills clinic, with over 15 years of experience in private practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University and went on to complete her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy.
She strongly believes in the importance of leading an active lifestyle to support optimal health and wellness.
Deborah is passionate about helping her clients achieve the best possible outcomes and is dedicated to delivering exceptional health care. She is deeply committed to lifelong learning and continues to pursue advanced training and professional development to provide the highest standard of care to her clients.
Hunter Smith
KinesiologistSpeaks: EnglishHunter graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Kinetics in 2026. During his studies, he developed a strong skill set in the fields of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and rehabilitation, with a particular interest in helping individuals improve their strength, mobility, and overall quality of life through exercise.
Hunter is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Professional Trainers Network (CPTN-CPT). His certification and academic training have provided him with expertise in exercise prescription, functional assessment, strength and conditioning, and injury prevention. He is passionate about creating individualized programs that support patients in achieving their health, fitness, and rehabilitation goals in a safe and supportive environment.
As a lifelong athlete, Hunter competed in elite-level sport throughout much of his early adolescence. He is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo and competed as a member of Team Nova Scotia for several years. In 2021, he was selected to compete for Team Canada, representing his country at the 2021 ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships.
His athletic background has helped shape his understanding of both injury prevention, and the importance of individualized training. Hunter brings this experience into his work with patients, helping them build confidence, improve physical performance, and achieve long-term health and fitness goals.
